Design Guideline Update

On September 26, 2011 the BOD adopted Design Guideline Addendum 2: Fences.  This will replace Section 2.15 in the Design Guidelines and takes effect immediately.  The Addendum is posted here, with the other Guidelines on the "BOD Archive" page, and a hard copy will be mailed to all residents.  if you have any questions please feel free to contact the BOD.

  • Attention Drivers: You are reminded to SLOW DOWN in the neighborhood-especially after school. There have been many reports lately of drivers of all ages driving entirely too fast on our streets - at all times of day - even when school buses and small children are present. Please ask yourself if the extra 15 seconds you are saving is worth the risk.

  • Dog and Cat Owners: Pet problems in the neighborhood are getting worse. Please do not let your cats roam free in the neighborhood and kindly pick up after your dog.  Be cognizant of the leash laws and do not walk your dog allowing him or her to relieve themselves on the lawns of other residents, especially without cleaning up. This is not only rude, but damages the lawns that we all take great care in maintaining. Also, remember that if you have an invisible fence to please make sure it's working properly.  Residents should try talking to neighbors about problems before calling the proper authorities, but please be advised that all residents are within their right to call Animal Control or the HPD about nuisance pets and owners.

  • Tennis Court Issues: Pets and wheels of any kind - bikes, tricycles, skates, scooters - are prohibited from the tennis court. The resurfacing of that court is a large 5 figure expense - and wheels on the court are only going to make that day come sooner than it needs to - and if it comes ahead of the capital plan - we could all end up with a special assessment or an unnecessarily large dues increase. Pets present a special problem as well and need to be kept off of the court. Teens have been observed lately hanging out on the tennis court sitting on the net, several across and bouncing. This will ruin the net very quickly and again be an unnecessary expense to all homeowners. We encourage everyone, including teens to use the tennis court for play and exercise. Please use the court for that which it is intended and remember to clean up after yourselves. Put water bottles, etc., in the trash receptacles near the courts.
